History is who we are & why we are the way we are.
Heritage Group North Inc (HGN) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Pine River, MN. The purpose of HGN is to explore the history of the greater Pine River area and to share and interpret that heritage in ways that promote public appreciation of the past, stimulate heritage tourism and fuel local economic development.
Preserving the legacy of Pine River School, HGN works as archivists preserving school photos, memorabillia, and other documents of historical significance.
Recently, HGN was awarded a grant that provided funds for the full digitizing of all yearbooks from the 1930s up to 2019, making these digitally accessible for free anywhere in the world.
Heritage Group North joins with the rest of the country to stand and honor 250 years.
While we have limited space for physical items, we would like to continue growing catalog of pictures and videos of historical Pine River.
If you have any historical pictures that you would be willing to either donate or allow us to scan and return to you, please let us know!
If you have an interest in history and have time to help out, please consider volunteering!
We have lots of different things you can help out with --both big and small-- including things that don't require moving/lifting.
We're an organization that depends on volunteers!
