Photo taken April 30th,2010 thanks to Paul's Large Garage for paiting the signs and Caleb Peterson for helping Jerry install them this evening!

HGN is in the process of gaining public support to build a display structure, alongside the Paul Bunyan Trail, next to the Pine River Chamber Information Center. The project will be to excavate and pour a concrete footing and slab on grade, frame a wood frame structure with wood siding, a hand sawn cedar shake roof, large viewing windows on each side and old style carriage doors on each end. We then plan to display the city’s 1919 horse-drawn fire engine on permanent public display for the community to enjoy.

Mail donations to: HGN (Display Structure), PO Box 266, Pine River, MN  56474 so we can install the three up-lights, hard surface sidewalks and display shelves.

HGN would like to thank the businesses and individuals for their generous cash, building materials, labor donation in an effort to get this project completed!  THANKS

We already broke ground!  Thanks to Swenson's Aggregate & Construction, Ron Schrupp & Jim Sirucek for digging the foundation.  Hopper Masonry (Mark Hopper) will be on site tomorrow to help Jerry & Steve form the footings / slab and hopefully we will be pouring on Friday (April 16th), 2010.

The concrete is on its way!  Knife River will be arriving at 7:50 in the morning (April 16) and Mark Hopper, Steve Cox and Jerry Peterson will pour the concrete and finish it.  Wippler Precast donated the structural steel and Pine River Electric was on hand to complete the underslab electrical rough-in.
